Thanksgiving Pies 2007

When I was just the age Taite is now, my Grandma Ballantyne taught me to make pies by having me follow her steps. She made a regular size pie, and imitated her in making my own mini size pie. This year I did the same thing with Taite. We each made an apple and two pumpkin. She made her own pie crust. She measured the ingredients into a large ziplock bag, and kneaded everything together. I showed her on my own pie how to do the edging, and she completely edged her own pies on her own! I think she did a great job, and that her pies were absolutely lovely! We had a great time, and I didn't yell or become impatient even once! That's a bigger accomplishment than Taite edging her own pie!

Halloween 2007

Seth was Pedro from Napolean Dynamite. I used a black sharpie for his mustache, it took some severe rubbing with nail polish remover to get it off. Seth had a red mustache for days after. Once again, it takes a lot of work on my part to remain worthy of my title, "World's Greatest Mom!"

Tucker's Baptism

Tucker"s Baptism

Nice hair. I had been wearing a hat, but it was lime green, and my nephews (God love 'em) were teasing me mercilessly so I got rid of it just in time for Grandma Jean to take a picture.

Sport July

I love this picture. It's one of my all time faves. The boys had just finished a football game, and Reece was bent over trying to catch his breath. Dexter, who had opted not to play, was apparently tired from just watching, and needed a little rest, so he's leaned over on Reece. The best thing about this picture is just seeing how comfortable Dexter is with Reece. They truly are best friends. No matter how far apart they live they still continue to toally "get each other." Dexter doesn't even seem to care that the back he's leaning on is completely sweaty~ due to the fact that Reece got my genes, and sweats like my brothers and me. Sorry about the hyper hydrosis, Reece.Reece loves sports~ all of them. Here he is in a quick pick up game with friends and cousins. That is Seth Dillard, Tom and Tanya Dillard's son, behind him. The Dillards live next door to Quincy and Amorette.
